The Macallan Edition No. 1 is the first of an annual limited-edition release. The concept with Edition No. 1 is co-creation, with both American and European oak casks being incorporated, showcasing the brand's mastery of wood. To accomplish the feat, Macallan's master whisky-maker, Bob Dalgarno, hand-selected and proportioned a total of eight different cask types, including different cask styles, sizes and origins.
